Other Worlds Than These by Stephen King and Peter Straub review
There are moments of shivering joy as the protagonist of two enduring classics, Jack Sawyer, returns – but this time his journey feels endlessly repetitive
TL;DR
- The novel 'Other Worlds Than These' is a continuation of Stephen King and Peter Straub's 'The Talisman' series, featuring an adult Jack Sawyer.
- The story involves Jack traveling through the Territories to investigate dangerous areas and mysterious child murders linked to demons.
- Fans will appreciate references to King's other works, such as 'The Gunslinger' and the Dark Tower series.
- The reviewer found the plot to be repetitive and self-indulgent, lacking the brilliance of the earlier books.
- It is recommended to have read 'The Talisman' and 'Black House' before tackling this novel.
