NFL asks DHS to take down post likening violent tackles to treatment of immigrants
Post came in response to rumor of ‘huge migrant caravan’
TL;DR
- The NFL has asked the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to take down a video.
- The video likened former Eagles player Brian Dawkins's violent hits to a clampdown on immigrants.
- DHS posted the video with the caption "Our time has come" in response to a rumored "huge migrant caravan".
- Brian Dawkins stated he had not given permission for his image to be used.
- This is not the first time DHS has used sports figures in social media posts, citing a previous incident involving IndyCar driver Pato O’Ward.
