Masterplan Review
A ‘family’ of criminals attempt to steal the Mona Lisa from the Louvre in pulpy and forgettable thriller
TL;DR
- The film stars Stanley Tucci as a criminal mastermind who plans to steal the Mona Lisa.
- The heist team consists of a hacker (Simona Tabasco) and an explosives expert (Victor Belmondo), who discover they are siblings.
- Masterplan features double-crossing, updated spy gadgets, and a plot involving drones and espionage.
- While the film has some inventive moments and action, the sibling relationship jokes are awkward and the plot is forgettable.
- Director Thomas Vincent recaptures some of the energy seen in his work on Bodyguard.
