Mother, Daughter Dead in Suspected Grizzly Bear Attack in Canada

TL;DR

Jennifer Balcarras and her 20-year-old daughter Selah Reed are dead in a suspected grizzly bear attack near Bella Coola, BC.
The victims were reported missing on November 1 after failing to return from a short walk.
Balcarras' body was found on Monday and Reed's on Tuesday; the B.C. Conservation Officer Service is investigating.
Authorities are working to locate and capture any involved bears, which will be assessed and potentially dispatched if determined to have been involved in the attack.
The family described Balcarras and Reed as being very close and shared many hobbies.
A GoFundMe has been started to cover funeral costs, as Balcarras had recently moved and lacked savings.
Grizzly bear attacks are considered relatively rare in British Columbia, but the province has seen several incidents in recent years.
